Kuntao (拳道) is an Southern Chinese Kungfu style created during Ming dynasty in 16th century. Known as Kuntau or Kuntaw in Southeast Asia countries.
Generals Qi Jiguang and Yu Dayou created special Kungfu style modified for close range combat, they teach it to their soldiers and local civillians for fight against Wokou pirates raid at Southern China areas. Reason why Qi Jiguang created this new Kungfu style is because the location of the battle is a crowded seaside port city with lot of narrow alleys and small road between dense buildings.
