Taekkyon (태껸) is a Korean fighting style created by warriors of the Silla Dynasty (57 BCE - 935 CE), also known as Taekkyeon and Taekyun.
Taekkyon was documented for the first time in the West as a living martial art by anthropologist Stewart Culin in his book Korean Games, written in 1895. Taekkyon was widely practiced during the Joseon period.
