Tai Chi (太極拳) is Chinese martial dance art created by Zhang Sanfeng in the 12th century. Another common theory of Tai Chi creator is Chen Wangting (1580 - 1660).
Unlike modern Wushu Taolu, Tai Chi dance choreos (Taolu) are performed in slow motion method. Slowness allows us to realize the internal aspects of Tai Chi. Tai Chi always performed slowly because it unites body and mind. We have to be aware of every nuance of our movement. Slowness allows us to join every part of our being in a single harmonious whole.
