Wrestling is the oldest style of grappling sport, it oldest historical artifact was made around 15,000 to 17,000 years ago in cave drawings found in France.
Most detailed ancient Wrestling technique literature was found in Egyptian burial chamber mural at the tomb of Baqet III made around 2000 BC, the drawing showing 2 wrestlers demonstrating various Wrestling throws and takedowns like in modern Wrestling tutorial books we know today.
