The second oldest grappling style after Wrestling, created in ancient Greek around the 7th century BCE by various Pankration masters. Unlike traditional Wrestling which focus on throws, Submission Wrestling is focus on locking the opponent using various painful locks to forcing the opponent giving up/tapping out.
Most famous historical record is the victory of Arrichion at the 54th Olympiad in 564 BCE, Arrichion of Phigalia won his third Olympic Pankration match via leg lock technique.
